Connecting to the Networking Lab Access Wireless Network
The Networking Lab Access wireless network can be used to connect to the console ports of the pod equipment. This allows you to plug your laptop into one of the devices as a host on the network and still be able to connect to the console ports of the equipment to configure them. To connect to the Networking Lab Access wireless network, follow the instructions below:
NOTE: These instructions have been written for Windows 10
- Click on the Wi-Fi access icon in the system tray. From the list of wireless networks, click on the Lab_Access Network and connect to it.
- When asked for credentials, use your Networking Lab credentials and then click OK
You should now be connected to the Lab Access network and be able to connect to the pod equipment. If you cannot see the Lab_Access network or for some reason cannot successfully connect to the network, try the steps below:
- Click on the Wi-Fi access icon in the system tray, then click Network and Internet Settings.
- In the left pane under Network & Internet, click Wifi. Then click Manage Known Networks.
- Click the Add a new network button.
- In the next screen, fill in the following information:
Network Name: Lab_Access
Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise AES
EAP Method: Protected EAP (PEAP)
Authentication Method: Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)
Leave all the other fields at their default and click Save
5. Click on the wireless network icon in your system tray, click Lab_Access network and then click Connect button.
6. Enter your Networking Lab Credentials into the boxes, then click OK on any open windows.
7. You should connect automatically, however if you are prompted for your credentials, enter them again into the boxes and click OK
