Connecting to the DC Access Wireless Network

The DC Access wireless network can be used to connect to the console ports of the Pod equipment from your personal computer, rather than from the Lab Desktops. To connect to the DC Access wireless network, follow the instruction below:

NOTE: These instructions have been written for Windows 10, but the settings should be similar for other operating systems as well.

  1. Click on the wireless network icon in the system tray, then click Open Networking Internet Settings.
  2. In the left pane under Network & Internet, click Wifi. Then click Manage Known Networks.
  3. Click the Add a new network button.
  4. In the next screen, fill in the following information:

 

Network Name: DC_Access

Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise AES

EAP Method: Protected EAP (PEAP)

Authentication Method: Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)

 

Leave all the other fields at their default and click Save

      5. Click on the wireless network icon in your system tray, click DC_Access network and then click Connect button.

      6. Enter your Networking Lab Credentials into the boxes, then click OK on any open windows.

      7. You should connect automatically, however if you are prompted for your credentials, enter them again  into the boxes and click OK
